Determination of Seasonal Effects through Link Relatives Method for the Ground Water Levels in Anantapuramu District, India

Abstract:

Earlier the author worked on Seasonal effects/indices for Ground Water Levels (GWLs) in Anantapuramu district, for the data collected from January 2001 to November 2017. We have concentrated to analyze statistically on the Ground water levels (GWLs) of Anantapuramu district by collecting data from 194 Piezometers throughout the district. The data is collected by the Ground water and water audit department located in Anantapuramu district head quarters and collecting the data monthly. Our aim is to fit different Time Series models for the collected data. We determine Seasonal effects we have used earlier papers i.e. Simple Averages Method, Ratio to Trend Method and Ratio to Moving Average Method. Now we proceed to determine Seasonal effects through an improved method over earlier methods namely Link Relatives Method. Conclusions are drawn based on the results obtained. We are suggested that suitable ways and means to improve Ground water levels.
