Abstract:

The contemporary workplace is undergoing a paradigm shift as sustainability emerges as a critical organizational priority. Millennials and Generation Z, characterized by heightened environmental consciousness and social responsibility, are playing a pivotal role in driving this transformation. Their expectations for ethical practices, eco-friendly operations, and corporate social responsibility are reshaping organizational strategies and policies. This study explores how these younger generations influence workplace sustainability through innovative ideas, adoption of green technologies, and advocacy for responsible business practices. It highlights their preference for organizations with sustainable value propositions and their active participation in initiatives such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and community engagement. Additionally, the research examines the challenges organizations face in aligning sustainability goals with business objectives while accommodating the expectations of Millennials and Gen Z employees. The findings indicate that leveraging the values and behaviors of these cohorts not only fosters a culture of sustainability but also enhances employee engagement, brand reputation, and long-term organizational resilience. Understanding their motivations and integrating their perspectives into corporate strategies is essential for companies seeking to remain competitive in an increasingly sustainability-driven business environment.
