This study presents a diagnostic evaluation of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Emotional Literacy (EL) competencies among educational leaders, employing the Emotional Competency Inventory (ECI) as the primary assessment tool. The research focused on a sample of 150 educational leaders, including school principals, faculties, and senior administrative staff, to evaluate their current levels of EI and EL and examine how these competencies influence leadership effectiveness and organizational performance. EI encompasses the ability to perceive, understand, and regulate emotions, while EL involves recognizing, expressing, and managing emotions constructively in interpersonal interactions. The analysis revealed distinct strengths in self-awareness and relationship management, alongside notable gaps in emotional regulation and empathetic communication. These findings provide critical insights into how emotional competencies shape leadership practices within educational institutions. The study underscores the importance of integrating EI and EL into leadership development frameworks to enhance decision-making, foster collaboration, and build emotionally supportive environments. By identifying areas for targeted improvement, the results offer valuable guidance for designing tailored training interventions. Ultimately, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of emotional competencies in educational leadership and advocates for their strategic incorporation into institutional policies and professional development initiatives.
