To synthesize silver nanoparticles and its in-vitro wound healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic activity and antimicrobial property of cotton fabrics coated with stable synthesized silver nanoparticles using Red algae Gigartina species extracts. Synthesis of silver nanoparticles (NP) was carried out with the extract of Gigartina. The NP was characterized by by using UV-spectrophotometer, FTIR, and SEM. Antimicrobial and antiparasitic property of cotton fabrics coated with stable synthesized silver nanoparticles was tested against clinical pathogens and parasite were isolated from goat. Invitro wound healing scratch assay was done on 3T3 cell line and fibroblast migration were estimated. Anti inflammatory property was carried out using HBRC membrane, its showed significant results at concentration of (100µl, 200µl). The present study was aimed to synthesis AgNPs. Synthesised particles showed antimicrobial, antiparasitic and anti inflammatory properties. The scratch assay reveals that the AgNPs have good wound healing activity when tested against fibroblast 3T3 cell line. The results recorded were significant; however, further knowledge on the biological effects of AgNPs on different bacterial strains will provide a vital information for the utilization of AgNPs as an antibacterial agent for medical applications.
