Abstract:

This study explores the multifaceted factors influencing food acceptance and sensory perception, emphasizing the roles of familiarity, cultural differences, and external influences. Familiarity with foods significantly affects consumer preferences, while sensory perception shapes expectations and overall acceptance. The impact of cultural attitudes and dietary habits underscores the importance of understanding diverse consumer backgrounds. Additionally, unconscious hedonic responses and demographic factors, such as age and social values, further complicate food choices. Recommendations are provided for marketers, educators, and policymakers to enhance food acceptance, particularly among children and diverse populations. By fostering cultural sensitivity and improving information accessibility, stakeholders can promote healthier eating habits and greater acceptance of varied food options. This comprehensive approach aims to better understand the dynamics of food perception in a globalized society.

Keywords: Food Acceptance, Sensory Perception, Cultural Differences, Consumer Behavior, Dietary Habits.
